Time always takes its toll. Even for the Winged Folk, immortality comes at a price and he's been paying it for a long time.

I've kind of fallen in love with the story between Chroma and Leo, and the way you tell it. The image of the door in the castle is striking.

It's a heart-breaking story even though we don't know the details of it. And the way it's little by little weaved into the rest of the narrative. Love it.

I've been wanting to show a little more backstory for a while, but it wasn't possible to work in little moments like this without overtaking the main story, hence why I'm posting this as an extra. But it's nice to see some of my readers are interested in things like this!

The tragic irony being that, for someone who can see so many futures due to his immortal lifespan, he's incapable of moving beyond his past. Perhaps he's become a little better in recent years, or at least has new responsibilities to keep him from wallowing

In a very odd, twisted way, Leo has actually benefited from being around June. He just doesn't know it yet.

I've been hoping that you would revisit this part of the story. Leo seemed harsher, less trusting, less impetuous than when he was chaperoning Chroma. Ever since, I've wondered what was behind it.

He's got some serious issues, that's for sure.
